Non-stop Mothing

At the farmlands, Lapwings are starting to form post breeding flocks, a Common Sandpiper was on the north lake on Saturday and Green Sandpiper numbers are building on 100 acre- it's must be the start of 'autumn' and time for birds to start featuring again on birding blogs following the high summer bugging and botanising peak.

Male Lapwing still holding territory on 100 acre
 Green Sandpipers on 100 acre
Gadwall have also formed post breeding groups on 100 acre- a feature of the last few years
 Rosy-striped Knot-horn Oncocera semirubella
 Early Thorn
White Sallow Bell Epinotia subocellana (I think) Update 130622- this could be Pammene fasciana
Box Tree Moth

Large numbers of Horse Chestnut Leaf-miner yesterday

And a few from the Old Vicarage
White Satin Moth (on right) with Buff Ermine
 Spotted Shoot Moth Rhyacionia pinivorana
 Small Emerald
A dark Mottled Beauty (?) Update 130622- looks like a Dark Umber
